Life is Sweet

I love working as a pastry chef...

And I thoroughly enjoy being able to have a chat to people about all things sweet,
without getting a funny look when I ask them about
'dextrose' or 'pectin NH vs pectin citrus'.

Since coming to Melbourne,
I've noticed quite a few pastry chefs putting on dessert nights
or degustations....

Happy Days for all us sweet tooths.
At Burch and Purchese we have done dessert nights
(with a few more coming up-check them out!!)
and now
Pastry chef from the Dutchess of Spotswood
is putting on one of these cool little dos.

Check out the menu here...

Below are the 'sweet' dishes he served on the night...

I think I need to work on my photography skills cause
it doesn't real capture the aesthetic of the dishes...

Anyway, check it out!

Would love to say thank you again to Cath & Darren from
Burch & Purchese for giving me the opportunity to work in their kitchen....

By the way Darren has his first book out-

Great book! Can't wait to try out some of these recipes!

The next post will be a big one...

MasterChef live is this week!
Lots of exciting things happening there so
I'll take my trusty Nikon and snap away :)
